What exactly is The Private Collection?

A: The Private Collection is a furniture and accessories rental company located in Fargo, ND. Monthly rates for items are available for those wanting to stage their own home to sell, for realtors who want to stage their clients’ homes, for home builders who want to stage their spec homes, and for those who are having private parties who want to just spruce up their home for a special occasion.

Do I have to hire The Private Collection to do the staging?

A: No, you do not need to hire The Private Collection to stage your home. Our company provides the furniture and accessories only. It is up to you to hire a stager or designer to professionally stage your home. It is also your responsibility to hire the movers to move the furniture. If you would like recommendations on companies in the area, please contact us.

How long can I keep the furniture in my home?

A: Furniture and accessories rentals are for 30 days. You can renew at the end of your 30 days for another 30 days if you choose. You are able to rent the furniture until the home you are staging sells.

What types of furniture and accessories do you have?

A: We have furniture and accessories to stage living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, guest rooms, offices, family rooms, and outdoor areas. Furniture rentals include sectionals, sofas, loveseats, kitchen table with chairs, counter stools, barstools, beds with mattresses and box spring, dressers, end tables, coffee tables, entertainment stands, accent chairs, console tables, and bar tables. Accessory rentals include bedding, bathroom accessories, lamps, rugs, artwork, plants, trees, floor lamps, throw pillows, throw blankets and ottomans.

What themes do your accessory packs come in?

A: Our accessories theme packs include industrial, green, urban, lake, cottage, traditional, sculptural/modern, metallic, and colorful.

What is the average cost to stage a home?

A: The average home ranges from $800-$1,500. This number can be higher and depends on how many rooms and floors of the house you would like staged. You are allowed to rent just a few pieces as well. The minimum monthly rental is $100.

Can I see the furniture in person during the selection process?

A: Of course! You are welcome to come over to our warehouse and see the furniture in person since computer screen colors don’t always portray in person colors.

Who moves the furniture from The Private Collection warehouse to the space I need staged?

A: It is the responsibility of the renter to either hire a mover or move the furniture themselves to the home to be staged. This also includes returning the furniture when finished with it at the end of the rental period. We do a walk through of all furniture and accessory items before you leave and when you return them. You are responsible for any damages that occur during the time when you have the furniture and accessories rented.

What is the difference between the Elite and Standard Collection?

A: Standard is the average/ regular furniture you’ll find in the majority of homes. You’ll find furniture brands such as Ashley Furniture. In the Elite, the styling of the furniture might be a little more edgy & one-of-a-kind looks. The furniture in the Elite are from places like Room & Board or Sunpan.
